Scorpion, 8 x 10 “

An interesting play of light over the Scorpion's body, blue and red tones contrasting across the body but working together to simultaneously blend into the surroundings and stand out. 

The Scorpion was an interesting subject to paint, particularly the eyes - so different from those that I usually create but no less mesmerizing when combined with the elevated stinger just behind them.
